The Ohio Department of Agriculture has released the 2008 Agricultural Easement Purchase Program application. Follow this link to the ODA website and follow the 2008 AEPP application link. Applications to protect Ohio farms are due by Friday, May 23rd. ____________________________________________________ 3/28/08 Ohio Department of Agriculture releases revised dairy labeling rule ODA has revised the Governor's emergency rule regarding labeling of milk from cows not given rBGH. Read the new revised rule here. ___________________________________________________ 3/25/08 Increased market consolidation in beef industry threatens markets...and food inspection Was the latest beef recall just a fluke? Yet another merger is in process furthering the consolidation of the beef industry in the United States. This will further effect not only prices paid to producers, the type of farming taking place but also may effect food inspection.
